This Monday on The Runaround on ESPN Radio, we will be recapping the Post-Olympic track circuit and previewing the upcoming marathon season with Running Times columnist Parker Morse during our feature segment, “Around the Clock, presented by Running Times Magazine.”
Additionally, we will talk to Martin Yelling and Tom Williams–the hosts of the popular British marathoning/track and field podcast, Marathon TALK. Yelling and Williams have initiated the “Magic Mile,” an international contest that pits Team USA, Team UK, and Team Australia against each other in a battle to see what nation can motivate the most runners to get out and run a competitive mile. Find out how YOU can be a part of Team USA by listening live tonight.
Finally, a big Runaround of applause for American 110m hurdler and 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist, Aries Merritt. Merritt shattered the 110m World Record, clocking a blazing 12.80 seconds at the Van Damme Memorial Meet in Brussels. He eclipsed the previous WR mark–held by Dayron Robles of Cuba–by an impressive .07 seconds. See The Runaround’s video interview with Merritt, who discussed training and technique at the adidas Grand Prix.
